There’s Nothing Passive about a Side-hustle, Tim — Not Even the Income.

It usually takes hard work and sometimes a bit of luck too.

I see a fashion around here to write open letters to the content creator Guru that all amateur writers worship these days. He’s no other than the esteemed Tim Denning, who, for those of you who don’t know him, recently quit his job after years of running both his writing side-hustle and his “day” job more or less in parallel.

He’s now preaching the freedom you get from being your own boss, doing it so lightly and “inspiring” that many of us could be tricked into believing that it’s really that easy to show the finger to your boss and go solo to hit the success with this move.

And, yes — I admit I have a problem with influencers like Tim. They unintentionally mislead us on their track, acting like Mary-go-lucky due to their circumstantial success, making us believe that everything is possible to anyone and life is just a magic furry ball — but not so fast, my friend.
