The Ukrainian Refugee Crisis Will Make People Bitter Sooner than Later
It’s the third time today she’s asking a question on her Facebook page when she could have just goddammit googled the answer herself. But Google doesn’t give you likes, does it, when you search for “where I can find baby formula?” because you signed up to be a volunteer helping Ukrainian refugees, and now you use this platform to brush your own ego.
You know the type I’m describing. Almost all of us know at least one person of this type.
She has a big heart, but her ego it’s twice the house; hence she needs a stage and an audience to show off her involvement in helping the war refugees. We know her as the drama queen — the emotional colleague, friend or partner who is simply “too much” sometimes.
Her refugee-related posts are always something within the lines of “help me to get this people x”, where the emphasis is on “help me to […]” not on “let’s help these people with x”.
My point is that we all can help, but only some of us actually do it.
