Thanks for your comment and for sharing you situation, James. I really second you on the fact that there should be a term limit on marriage. I like this thought. I would actually like to contemplate on it for a second - that's how intriguing it is!

It's interesting you say that many people have treated you better than your spouse and I'm sure the sentiment was mutual. What you're describing can very often transform into emotional affairs, which funnily enough, society and we - in general, as people, accept easier than physical affairs.

Would you "survive" in your marriage accepting that it's a material partnership while outsourcing your emotional needs outside, provided sex is not involved?
