Sounds like a lot of work. My mom is the opposite and slightly lazier. She pushes people away so she doesn’t have to go through the hassle of providing her worth to them to keep them around. Having this fear in mind, that people will eventually abandon you when they get to know “you’re messed up” made her avoid people so she’s quite alone.

Externally she looks like she’s enjoying it, but I know there are times when she is so verbally expansive to sort of overcompensating for the lost time alone that she becomes “too much” for those around her that know her regular self.
