Member-only story
My husband spent hours wrapping up our son’s Christmas presents. The day started awfully when he decided that doing the end year balance TODAY, on Christmas Eve, was to be prioritized against making gingerbread and spending the morning together. As usual, he never even considered this was a bad time for doing his things, since anyway, baking gingerbread is so trivial, that I should have been the one voluntarily giving up on it. With a 2 year old, at least one of us had to be eyes on him. Our morning was ruined as I ended up taking care of our son while baking. THIS EVENING THOUGH, looking at him wrapping up our son’s presents made me realize that as long as he’s a good father to my son, I can live with less than the husband I deserve. Merry Christmas, everyone!
