I totally agree! And, you were fortunate to have such parents! :-)

When I met my husband I was far from the financial security I am today due to my own effort. He’s learning along the way to adjust to the concept that I can walk away any time I want but for a lot of time, he didn’t realize it and was behaving as he owned me. I know. He’s lucky I stayed around :-)
