Hi, Sylvia! Nice to hear from you! :-) My colleague was not at his first attempt to put me down - so there is a bit of background in this sense. As you can imagine, I knew there was the possibility to take medical leave for my son, which I didn't consider was needed. I don't know if this decision should take me the "right" away to throw in a casual complaint about the situation. Maybe my colleague didn't want me to hear mentioning it. Or he just wanted to hear himself speaking. I consider that there are moments when it's better to keep advice for ourselves because we don't know the context. If I wouldn't have grown into a confident person, and I know this just by looking back at my old self, I know I would have been hurt by him.
