Hi Roy,
I noticed a judgmental tone in your comment, but let's discuss it.
Congrats on living a purposeful life. It's important, especially as we get older. My husband also believes our life is perfect. Sadly it's only his view.
From what you're describing you read like a loving husband. Your wife must be a lucky lady.
My husband though, is not like you. So, I'm facing unmet emotional needs, which I address alone to remain a supportive towards my family.
Your view of my needs as mere "inclination for a little hanky panky" overlooks the complexity of long-term relationships and lacks respect for my situation.
Labeling my search for fulfillment as trivial fails to see the importance of addressing unmet needs within a partnership for emotional well-being.
Discussions about relationships should be respectful and understanding. Simplifying someone's feelings or needs doesn't help.
Thank you,
Eva.
