Hi Jessey — I appreciate your support and coming back to check my work! I also don’t take the time you put into reading or commenting for granted. So, thank you!

Regarding your feedback, it would have made this piece more justice if you’d have read it further because I wrote:

“I’m pretty sure there are still companies where gender issues are very much current. No one can expect that we live in a perfect world. Yet, there are plenty of other companies where gender diversity has become so natural that it’s no longer “a thing.” No one even mentions it anymore because that’s the default.” — So, even if it may sound generic, it is not. There are countries where gender balance issues have actually tilted in favor of women while leaving men behind. I worked in companies where this happened. Hence, what Morris T commented is spot on the point this story makes: “any inequality once fixed should start anew on equal grounds. . having special benefits reinforces the inequality notion.”

I was expecting it to be controversial — so, I’m not going to try to convince you otherwise that what you feel is the situation.
