Exactly. If you are on top of it and the management enables work-life balance then it doesn’t matter what you do during “dead time.” Having to justify it is controlling a sign of micro-management. But then again, that means that if you’re needed outside of the 9–5 then you, as an employee, if you can, jump in. The line between work and personal life is slightly blurred however, as counterintuitive as it may sound, it’s more balanced. Because in the end, that doesn’t mean that you’ll be working less, it means that you don’t need to fake working anymore.
